STAFFORD, TEXAS — Richie Ogungbayi and Gloire Yahve began their three-day wedding celebration on Thursday, October 22, with a colourful gathering that brought Nigerian and Congolese cultures together in a joyful celebration of love and unity.

Held on Murphy Road in Stafford, Texas, the event featured traditional attire, prayers, music, dance and heartfelt tributes from family and friends as the couple prepared for a lifetime together.

One of the evening’s highlights was a friendly dance competition between Nigerian and Congolese guests. The contest ended without a winner, symbolising the spirit of partnership and unity at the heart of the couple’s union.

Members of Eko Club turned out in large numbers to support the groom, whose parents played a key role in founding Eko Club San Antonio. The family expressed heartfelt gratitude to the club for its prayers, financial contributions, messages and physical presence, describing it as a true family united by love, culture and support.

The celebrations continued on Friday, October 23, with a get-together at Kalahari Night Club and Bar on Bellaire Boulevard in Houston.

The grand finale is scheduled for Saturday, October 24, with the wedding ceremony and reception at Trinity Event Center on Howell Sugarland Road in Houston.

The union of Richie, a Nigerian, and Gloire, from the Democratic Republic of Congo, celebrates not only their love but also the cultural bonds that bring families and communities together across borders.
