Highlights from the February General Meeting & One-Year Anniversary Celebration

Our February General Meeting was successfully held on Saturday, February 14, 2026, at the Clubhouse in Houston, Texas. The gathering also marked a significant milestone — the one-year anniversary of the Alaka Administration.

During the meeting, President Hon. Kunle Alaka Adekunle (JP) expressed sincere appreciation to all members for their unwavering support and commitment. He highlighted key achievements recorded over the past year, including strengthened unity, digital advancement initiatives, increased inclusiveness and participation, enhanced social engagement, establishment of a stronger Secretariat, welfare-driven decisions, financial transparency, expanded external relations, and ongoing organizational growth.

In preparation for the upcoming quarterly meeting in Houston, the Executive Council, with the guidance of Hon. TJ Abass and respected elders, established central and sub-committees. All committees have been formally constituted, with members duly announced.

The Board of Directors also presented newly proposed policies aimed at strengthening governance and improving the overall structure of the association.

The meeting featured outstanding reports, including the Financial Report presented by Hon. Peter Awofodu and the Internal Audit Report presented by Hon. Babalola Adebayo. Additionally, all committees delivered comprehensive updates on their activities and progress.

We were honored by the presence of distinguished guests from Eko Club International, including President Dr. Lola Ogbara and Hon. Yeye Rokosu-Lawal. Dr. Ogbara expressed heartfelt appreciation for the continued unity and support demonstrated by our chapter.

It was indeed a memorable and impactful gathering, filled with fellowship and a renewed commitment to collective growth.
